Springtime

We took the kiddo to Dinosaur World yesterday to celebrate birthday #3. We all had a fantastic time and got lots of awesome pictures, except my poor husband found something blooming in the air that made his allergies act up wicked bad. I somehow twisted my back and have spent a lot of the time since we got home yesterday flat on my back with a heating pad. I'm happy to report that we are both doing much better now.

The weather was beautiful outside yesterday - it was pretty much a perfect day to be out enjoying the fresh air and each other. I was worried that it would be hot out but it totally wasn't. We've actually had a lot of nice weather lately, and I've been dying to make the inside of our house match the gorgeous springtime weather.

When decorating for spring, I like to add lots of fresh whites and bright beautiful greens. It makes everything feel so crisp and clean, and it contrasts the brighter colors.

I like to include lots of natural elements, like nests, moss, and wood.

I love fresh flowers and how beautiful and vibrant they are when brought into the home. To me, it makes the whole house feel happier.

I'm shopping the house today for some easy springtime decorations. I'll try to remember to check back later this week to show what I came up with!

  2. I FINALLY have been able to add your blog to my blogroll! For some reason it has taken Blogger awhile to do this. Love all your ideas and I've always wondered about Dinosaur World... Always see it on the drive to Tampa, but we never stopped and I can't even remember how long it's been there. My son (now 27) was so into dinosaurs at 3 and 4. He could say all the names and I couldn't! LOL. Ann
