I wanted to add some season-inspired brights, like pink and green (like juicy watermelon), yellow and teal (like a banana raft in the pool) and pink and orange (like faux flower embellishments on flip-flops). For today though I only had green on hand and a bouquet of orange flowers from Mother’s Day.
I made the cute little picket fence prop from scrap wood…I’ll give you a few guesses to figure out what it really is! The banner was hand painted – I didn’t feel like bothering with trying to transfer the “right” way, and it actually turned out exactly the way I wanted!
I actually don’t have a lot of tabletop surfaces for vignettes in my house so I arranged these on top of the media bookcases in our living room.
I’m off now to go meet my hubby for lunch – and then I have TONS of cleaning to do this afternoon! I may or may not have a chance to write & schedule a post for Friday so if not I hope everyone has an amazing long holiday weekend!

Luckily it doesn't get too hot here during the summers. My best friends hubby is from Tampa, and our northern climate took him quite a bit to get used to =)
ReplyDeleteI love your vignette! The colors are so pretty and perfect for summer!!! Hope you had a fun lunch with the hubs!

GREAT job! Odd numbers, varied heights, layered in front of each other, balanced the colors, a big object in the background....GREAT VIGNETTE!!!
